Mastered Meat-Free Mondays?

It’s a great campaign, but is one day a week enough?

Go one better, with Fish Free Fridays

Vegetarians don’t eat fish and the current fishing industry just isn’t sustainable, so join us every Friday.

The United Nation’s Food and Agriculture Organisation (FAO) described the livestock industry as “one of the top two or three most significant contributors to the most serious environmental problems, at every scale”.  Ordinary people are starting to realise that cutting down on meat will improve their health and reduce their environmental impact, but many turn to fish as a “solution”.  Find out more about the environmental impact of fishing practices or follow our top tips for a vegetarian taste of the ocean.

According to the FAO's Fisheries and Aquaculture Department overfishing is a major environmental problem. Have a look at our facts page to find out more.
