HIPP Organic Baby Milks will no longer be vegetarian

HIPP are changing the formulas of all of the milks that are in their range as from January 2010 – this includes Infant, Hungry Baby, Follow on and Growing Up Milks, and also their Good Night Milk. None of these will be suitable for vegetarians due to the use of fish oils and animal rennet. They state the following on their website;

Are the new HiPP Organic milks still suitable for vegetarians?

Unfortunately, the new milks containing oligosaccharides and LCP’s are no longer suitable for vegetarians.;

We contacted HIPP to let them know of our disappointment and highlight that there are already a very limited number of milks available for the vegetarian market and this, sadly, makes it even more difficult for consumers to purchase a product which is suitable for their child’s diet.

HIPP have told us that, in response to many disappointed calls to their careline, they have reserved a quantity of stock of existing vegetarian milks to be sold through the HiPP Web Shop over the next couple of months while stocks last in an attempt to help some mums who are already committed to the HiPP Milks Brand through the remaining months of feeding their Baby with their Formula Milks should they wish to continue with the vegetarian option.
