| Baked whole garlic, toast with creamy herb spread
Does this sound outrageous? Try it - it's divine!
All you do is trim the tops off the whole heads of garlic, put them in
an oven-proof dish, drizzle over 2tbsp of water and 2tbsp of olive
oil, add a sprig each of rosemary and thyme then cover and bake in
a moderate oven until the cloves are really soft.
Each person gets a head of garlic and some toast, then you press out the clove
on to the toast like squeezing a tube of toothpaste.
Serve with a soft cheese mixed with lots of fresh chopped herbs. |
