Friday Breakfast suggestion

Oat, apple and hazelnut pancakes with maple syrup

These may take a little time to make but then why not treat yourself, it is National Vegetarian Week after all!


Friday lunch or tea

 
Baked whole garlic, toast with creamy herb spread 

Does this sound outrageous? Try it - it's divine!

All you do is trim the tops off the whole heads of garlic, put them in an oven-proof dish, drizzle over 2tbsp of water and 2tbsp of olive oil, add a sprig each of rosemary and thyme then cover and bake in a moderate oven until the cloves are really soft.
Each person gets a head of garlic and some toast, then you press out the clove on to the toast like squeezing a tube of toothpaste.
Serve with a soft cheese mixed with lots of fresh chopped herbs.
