Young vegetarians may have higher risk of eating problems


A study is being reported in the news today regarding teenagers who eat a healthy diet being more likely to suffer from eating disorders. Eating disorders are complicated medical conditions.

As the Guardian points out the study didn’t use a correct definition of vegetarian (it included fish and chicken), the study was very localised (only participants from one state were included) and the study was based on self reported data (which relies on the honesty of participants).
