Tesco are running offers nationwide in May on their own-brand vegetarian ready meals, which are Vegetarian Society Approved The packs will carry an NVW sticker and there will be price reductions and special offers for these products during the whole month of May. The products include Mushroom Burgers, Cheese & Leek Sausages, Three Bean Enchiladas and Lentil Moussaka. The Vegetarian Society We are having a stall at the May Day Farmer's Market in Altrincham to hand out NVW booklets and other veggie leaflets and magazines. Do drop by to meet some of our staff. 1st May from 9am. Benjamin Zephaniah will be paying a visit to a NVW event organised by our affiliated group, Lincoln Vegetarians and Vegans! He will be dropping in on their celebratory meal at Pimento Veggie & Vegan Restaurant, Steep Hill, Lincoln about 5pm, before going on to perform at Lincoln Drill Hall later in the evening. The Foodies Festival, at Hampton
Court Palace on May 23-25. The event, which is in it’s
third year, celebrates food and drink with chefs demonstrations,
food and drink masterclasses and a market of specialty producers. Cauldron Foods announced as headline sponsor of National Vegetarian Week 2009.
