The Vegetarian Society Awards 2009
Wakey, wakey, rise and shine
Best Vegsoc Approved Breakfast Product Winner announced
30 October 2009
Whether you’re
up with the lark or have to be dragged kicking and screaming from under
the
duvet each morning, everyone knows that breakfast
is the most important meal of the day. The Vegetarian Society is pleased
to announce that the winner of the Best Vegsoc Approved Breakfast Product
is Whole Earth Peanut Butter.
Vanessa
Brown Head of Corporate Relations for the Vegetarian Society said, “It was very difficult to choose a winner in the category
until we tried the Whole Earth Peanut Butter on toast. You forget how
simple and satisfyingly good it is. It’s a great product to have
in your cupboard whether you are veggie or not. ”
The other nominees shortlisted in this category were: Rude Health Fruity
Date Porridge,
Dorset Cereals Berries and Cherries Muesli, Marmite and Quorn Streaky
Bacon Style Strip.
The Vegetarian Society Awards 2009 winners were announced last night
at the Magic Circle Headquarters in London. The evening was hosted
by Wendy Turner Webster, broadcaster and author, and patron of the
Vegetarian Society.
This is the Vegetarian Society Awards’ ninth year and guests
came from across the UK to celebrate the very best in vegetarian food,
catering,
and lifestyle, highlighting to the nation those companies and services
which make life better for vegetarians in the UK.
