The Vegetarian Society Awards 2009
A sweeter smelling hippy wins.
Best Vegsoc Approved Skincare/Personal Care Product Winner announced
30 October 2009

All the products in the Best Vegsoc Approved Skincare/Personal Care Product category are totally free from slaughter by-products and neither they nor their ingredients have been tested on animals. Veggies enjoy a good pamper and the winner of this category, Lush Happy Hippy Shower Gel, certainly ticks all the boxes.

Vanessa Brown, Head of Corporate Relations for the Vegetarian Society said, “Your early morning shower is a zingy pleasure with this product. It’s grapefruity, made with natural ingredients and no animal by-products – congratulations Lush.”

The other nominees shortlisted in this category were: Halo Light Moisturising Cream, Bulldog Face Scrub, Mooncup, Montagne Jeunesse Fruit Smoothie Face Masque.

The Vegetarian Society Awards 2009 winners were announced last night at the Magic Circle Headquarters in London. The evening was hosted by Wendy Turner Webster, broadcaster and author, and patron of the Vegetarian Society.

This is the Vegetarian Society Awards’ ninth year and guests came from across the UK to celebrate the very best in vegetarian food, catering, and lifestyle, highlighting to the nation those companies and services which make life better for vegetarians in the UK.
