Cauldron Foods sponsors National Vegetarian Week 24-30 May 2010
Be deliciously different.

Cauldron Foods celebrates a fourth year at the heart of vegetarianism as headline sponsor of National Vegetarian Week 2010. During National Vegetarian Week Cauldron will be sharing their recipe know-how with consumers, sponsoring Cauldron Local Hero Awards and appearing on point of sale materials.

Visit www.nationalvegetarianweek.org or call 0161 925 2000 for free Vegetarian Society and Cauldron Foods recipes, meal plans and information on how you can love the food you eat.

Sarah Riddolls of Cauldron said: "National Vegetarian Week has established itself as one of the most important events in the culinary calendar and I am sure that 2010 will be the biggest and best yet. Cauldron Foods is delighted to be the headline sponsor once again. With so many people now advocating a vegetarian diet for environmental reasons, it's really important we show people that a meat-free diet can be delicious, varied and inspiring. That's what Cauldron is all about; first and foremost we are a food brand, committed to bringing people the finest tastes, textures and recipes."

The Week gives schools, canteens, caterers, restaurants, libraries and individuals a reason to focus on increasing fruit and veg consumption, revamp their veggie options, launch new menus, look at the issues around food or simply try something different.

Liz O’Neill, Head of Communications at the Vegetarian Society, said, “It’s great to have Cauldron Foods as headline sponsor of National Vegetarian Week 2010. You don’t need to be veggie to enjoy National Vegetarian Week, but you do need to love flavoursome food. Veggie food is different - it’s often the cheaper option, the greener option, the healthier option and it’s always the best choice if you care about animals. Try being different for a week - it just might be the best choice you ever make."

Cauldron has been making a huge range of delicious food including falafels, veggie sausages, pâtés, bakes and, of course, tofu for over 25 years.

National Vegetarian Week is coordinated by the Vegetarian Society, an educational charity formed in 1847.
