Your Chance to Judge at the Artisan Cheese Awards 2026!
The Artisan Cheese awards, taking place on Thursday 14th May 2026 at St. Mary’s Church in Melton Mowbrary, is a key part of the Vegetarian Society’s calendar. After the success of the 2025 awards, we are offering two spaces to our members for the opportunity to judge at the awards!
For the chance to judge, all you need is an unwavering enthusiasm for cheese and to be free on Thursday 14th May 2026.
We’re looking for two members to join Becks Wood, our Fundraising and Membership Officer, to cover judging across the vegetarian class. We’ll even cover your travel and accommodation with an overnight hotel stay in Melton Mowbray, if needed!
Viv, one of our member representative last year, said: “As a cheese-aholic, this was the kind of once in a lifetime privilege that money couldn’t buy. Everyone was so friendly and despite being with real cheese experts, they were generous with their explanations and took my opinion seriously.”
If you’d be interested in taking part and representing the Vegetarian Society at the 2026 Artisan Cheese Awards, please fill in the form below by 17th April.
We’ll be in touch if you’re chosen to be a judge!
See terms and conditions below.

If you would like to be considered for this fantastic (and delicious) volunteering opportunity, please complete these few questions by 17th April 2026. We’ll be in touch if you’re chosen to be a judge! See terms and conditions below.
