Vegetarian Society Certificate in Vegetarian & Vegan Cookery
Unlike anything else offered in the UK, this five-day course is perfect for foodies who want to gain a really in-depth knowledge in vegetarian and vegan cookery.
You’ll learn through a comprehensive mixture of hands-on cookery, talks and demonstrations and the course will cover how to prepare and cook vegetarian and vegan protein sources, how to create tasty and balanced meals, essential cooking skills like knife skills, great sauces, pastry work, desserts and more.

You’ll be able to make the recipes you learn on this class at home, time and time again. After your cookery experience, you will be emailed a pack for you to keep containing all of the recipes you learned on the day.

Do I need any prior experience?
Not at all. Please don’t worry if you are a beginner as this class is completely suitable for all levels. All you need is a willingness to learn and give things a go!

What to expect on the day
Tutors will guide you through the preparation of various dishes, teaching you essential cooking skills and techniques while introducing you to key ingredients.
You’ll work mainly individually, allowing you to gain hands-on experience.
You’ll enjoy a relaxed and interactive learning environment with plenty of tastings, and you can take everything you make home with you.

Please bring containers for taking food away with you
There will be the opportunity to purchase additional refreshments and merchandise such as aprons.
Please note that we are a cashless establishment and only accept card payments.

Meet your tutors
Sam, Maz and Nikita bring a wealth of culinary expertise to COOK! with the Vegetarian Society. Sam, the head of the cookery school, brings over 15 years of experience in the catering industry and is dedicated to inspiring creativity in the kitchen and helping people enjoy cooking. Maz is passionate about vibrant flavours and has extensive culinary experience. Nikita, whose love for cooking began in childhood, has a background in hospitality and a keen interest in Asian and world cuisines.
