Baked Apples with Raisins

Egg-Free, Gluten-Free, Healthy, Nut-Free, Wheat-Free

Apples contain pectin which is a soluble fibre that helps lower cholesterol.


Ingredients

  • 2 medium cooking apples washed and cored
  • Pinch of cinnamon
  • 30g raisins
  • 2 tsp honey
  • 10g unsalted butter

Method

  1. Pre-heat the oven to 180°C/gas mark 4.
  2. In a small bowl, combine the raisins with honey and cinnamon then stuff each apple with the mixture.
  3. Top each apple with a little butter.
  4. Stand apples on a lined baking sheet and bake for about 45 minutes until softened.
  5. Serve in bowls.
