Quick and Easy Flat Bread

Egg-Free, Dairy-Free, Nut-Free, Suitable for Freezing, Vegan

Flat bread

This is one of the easiest types of bread to make and uses only four basic ingredients.


Ingredients

  • 200g plain white flour
  • 120ml water
  • ½ tsp salt
  • A little olive oil
  • Extra flour for rolling out

Method

  1. Place the flour, water and salt into a bowl. Stir to form a ball and kneed for 2 minutes. Add extra flour if the dough is too wet.
  2. Turn your dough out onto your work surface and continue to kneed for another 3 minutes.
  3. Divide your dough into 8 round pieces. Lightly dust your surface and gently roll each out, turning for time to time. Add a bit more flour to the surface if it starts to stick between rolling.
  4. Brush each flat bread with a little olive oil.
  5. Carefully place onto a dry, preheated, non-stick frying pan and gently cook for 3 minutes on either side. As the bread cools it will become crispier.
