Introducing ‘COOK! with the Vegetarian Society’: A Culinary Revolution in Manchester

Firstly – we want to say a huge thank-you for your patience while we have been organising our new home. After a lot of planning and work behind the scenes, we are now ready to reveal that our brand new venue ‘COOK! with the Vegetarian Society’ will open very soon in Manchester city centre.

We are moving into what was originally an electricity sub-station in Jersey Street, Ancoats.

It is a fantastic spot and a variety of workshops, cookery sessions and supper clubs will be available to book from August. You can expect to see the return of favourites such as Japanese, Vegan Street Food and Thai, plus brand new experiences such as Trending Tofu, Build a Bánh mì, Dim Sum Workshop and Vegan Street Food Part Two. As soon as sessions are listed on our website we’ll be letting people know via our newsletter, sign up below.

Sam Linford- Platt, Head of COOK! said: “We cannot wait to open our doors and start cooking in our new kitchens. Our venue will be focal point for plant-based and vegetarian cooking, and we will have something for everyone from our short social supper clubs through to full training weeks and community classes. Being fully accessible is also something we’ve been striving for, and our new home will give us the opportunity to welcome everyone to explore the delights of amazing vegetarian and vegan dishes.”

We are also planning an exciting launch weekend in October! You will be able to drop in and get a free taster of our new venue and cookery experiences.
